Transitions quilt

I too have been accepted into the PAQA 2009 show "Transitions" I have been so preoccupied with hubby's health, that I had forgotten I even entered! Here is my quilt called WOMAN WAITING I. It is entirely hand stitched ( not quilted all the way through tho') and was a good project to have while sitting bedside at the hospital.

Stunning! And to know the story behind it makes it all the better. Can't wait to see it in person!

Pamela... you have outdone yourself!! Hooray! Both on this piece and your acceptance into PAQA. I take it this is the one you did whilst your dearly beloved was in the hospital and you waited. The body language is superb...

What a wonderful quilt. That bedside sitting has inspired a masterpiece.

A wonderful quilt Pamela! And the title is so fitting.

Woman Waiting is fabulous...body slightly slumped, arms crossed...waiting for the next procedure, the next doctor visit, some good news...
now you need to make a Woman Waiting who is stitching an art quilt.

Pamelala dearest, she's bloody marvelous and so evocative for making one think about where she is at, where she might be going and what will happen when she gets there. Lovely, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Such glorious colours, patterns and stitch contrasting with the woman's posture that it makes me think of holding fiercely onto the beauty of life for yourself and for your husband. I'm glad all went well!

Hi Pamela. I love your work, you know, of course. I'm so glad Ralph is getting all better, and that you had the brains to take your sewing with you to the hospital. This piece really soaked up what was happening! Now for one called "Ralph and his Healthy Heart." :) Much love, Lucky
